Sailing on the Solent
A wonderful and successful day was spent on the Solent by ‘Team Anderson,’ raising money for Action Against Cancer in memory of James Anderson, who died in March 2015 of a brain tumour aged 36.
The event was organised by James’ best man Harry Thorburn. Friends in teams of 12 raced in a fleet of Clipper Round The World Yachts. On each boat was a professional crew and friends of James as well as his wife Odharna Anderson. The event raised £18.000, meaning that in total Team Anderson has raised almost £65,000 for Action Against Cancer.
James was on the minds of all involved on the day and we will continue to support the amazing research being undertaken by Professor Stebbing’s teams in the laboratory.
