Golf day tees up more than £20,000!

For the second year running, the Peter Cooper Motor Group held a fantastic golf day at the famous Goodwood course in aid of Action Against Cancer. The day welcomed spells of glorious sunshine enabling the 96 players to enjoy 18 holes on the stunning Downs course, with views across Chichester and out onto the Solent.

The driving range gave golfers the opportunity to take part in a "Scrapheap Challenge" and win an old Volkswagen Polo by attempting to hit the car, which was located 120 yards from the driving bays, with one of three balls. This was won and then kindly donated back to the charity.

Lyn Cooper, one of Professor Justin Stebbing's patients, spoke movingly about her experience with cancer. The day was rounded off with a very successful auction and raffle with prizes ranging from a signed Raheem Sterling England football shirt, a three ball golf session with Matt Le Tissier and a Sunseeker Experience for 10 people.
