Tutu wearing walk from Hastings to Bexhill!

I'm Kay a mummy of twintastic little boys, Nicholas & Maximos. Last year August our lives were tipped upside down after I found a small lump and was given the devastating news that I had stage 1 grade 2 ER+/PR+ invasive ductal breast cancer. After further testing 2 more tumors were discovered, both were at the same stage and grade which came as a double blow.

I was referred to Professor Justin Stebbing and his team who looked after me so well, I completed 6 months of chemo, I lost all my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes too but I am happy to say I am on the mend and feeling so positive about the future after being given the all-clear from my recent PET-CT Scan.

As a thank-you to Professor Stebbing and his amazing team, I organised a charity walk from Hastings to Bexhill (6.8 miles) which myself, family, friends and my lovely 6 year old niece Molly completed on the 16 th July 2016, we all had such a fun day, dressed in our tutu’s on a mission to raise money and awareness, the weather was very kind, the sun was out and we all got a bit of a tan which was a bonus!

We carried Action Against Cancer buckets and the good people of Hastings to Bexhill donated generously. So far we have raised an amazing £1,911.25 (with gift aid), the fundraising page is still open until the 15 th October 2016 so please feel free to donate!

Really looking forward to future fundraising for Action Against Cancer!
