Arctic Reflections Art Exhibition

The artist Michael Bourgeois supported Action Against Cancer with his exhibition of his latest series of works in Spring 2017 at London’s Art Moor House. A selection of works by the acclaimed international photographer Sasha Gusov was also be shown.

The paintings from the “Arctic Reflections” series were inspired by the reflections of light from the Arctic ice, and Sasha's photographs from his travels to this magical part of the world. They are abstract reflections or impressions of the continuum of colours and energy of the icebergs and ice sheets as they reflect the light under varying conditions.

To try and capture the incredible power, beauty and fragility of the Arctic landscape, Michael developed a painting process of coating many layers of paint with a sprinkling of fine crystal glass.

In memory of his friend Sally O’Regan who sadly died from cancer in May 2015, Michael generously donated 20% of the sales of the paintings sold at the exhibition to Action Against Cancer.
